Buckingham Palace has made public that the Princess Royal will be visiting the Lake District on 21st March to recognize the important work by volunteer gatherings in the area, additionally an incredible commemoration for one of the nearby schools.
Princess Anne is President of the Save The Children Fund, and as the president, she is going to the charity shop in Windermere. Some of the staff at the shop have timed up more than two hundred years volunteering there! Jackie Kenyon, the regional manager stated: “I am very proud of our team and it’s lovely that Princess Anne is able to come join us in our celebrations.”
Princess Anne will then head over to Kirby Stephen Grammar School where she will recognize two anniversaries. The school is honoring its four hundred and fiftieth anniversary, and the Kirby Stephen Mountain Rescue is celebrating their fiftieth anniversary. The Princess Royal will meet members of the team and see how their equipment can be used in emergency situations. One of the members of group stated “We are very chuffed, excited and honored about this. It’s our 50th anniversary, and this is something different and special to celebrate it with. We are excited to show off our quarters.”
She will meet individuals from a portion of the school’s effective games groups in netball, hockey, and rugby. This will be especially important to the Princess; both her and her daughters’ ability on horseback is outstanding!
